The Challenge faced by Manor House
Like many old farmhouse properties with solid stone walls and hard flooring, heating Manor House was difficult, costly, and energy-inefficient.
With rising electricity and gas prices, the homeowners wanted to take action and switch to a more sustainable, efficient alternative to improve comfort and reduce energy bills. This led them to contact Bundle for a home survey and a custom solution.
Bundle’s Approach
To meet these needs, we utilised a disused field to install a Ground Source Heat Pump. The project involved several challenges, including complex pipework, plant installation, and ensuring tidy groundworks around the property.
We installed a 35kW CTC GSHP, which, based on the home survey, was more than sufficient to meet British Heating Standards, improve energy efficiency, and lower household energy costs.
The Results
Projected savings: £1,532.5per year on energy bills.
Carbon emissions: An estimated 21,500kg saved annually.
The property is now consistently warm, with plenty of hot water – an impressive improvement over the previous oil-based system. The heat pump has modernised Manor House’s heating, boosting comfort and warmth, while significantly reducing the heating bills with a sustainable, energy-efficient solution.
